January 24th Lake Mary unveiled their new Events Center that replaces the former CIA Building.  Last week we had an opportunity to tour the facility that is the stunning centerpiece of the city's downtown redevelopment plan and nestled on the banks of Lake Crystal just minutes from Lake Mary Boulevard.  The building is beautifully appointed and the Rotunda overlooking the lake is magnificent, and my absolute favorite space. 

The facility can accommodate small business meetings in its conference room to grand affairs in the ballroom.  The state of the art facility is already booked for most Saturdays this year and sure to become a favorite venue to exchange your nuptials.

The Street Of Dreams is coming to Lake Mary with three luxury custom homes in the highly desirable Markham Woods Road corridor.  Homes range from 10,000 to 17,000 sq. ft. and are priced to 8.5 million.

Are you looking forward to seeing the latest innovations from top area builders?  Even though the price tags are out of reach for most, the design and decorating ideas can be applied to homes of every price range.  My favorite home was in the 2004 Street of Dreams in Lake Nona. The home built by Maroon Custom Builders was one of the most "liveable" dream homes I've ever seen with a pool that made you feel like you were at your own personal resort.  What will we see this year?  I can't wait to see.

You can tour the homes april 26th through June 8th. Closed Mondays and Tuesdays, except for Memorial Day.  Tickets are $13 Weds - Fri and $15 on the weekends.  The homes are located on Markham Woods Road just south of Lake Mary Blvd.

The Market Report for Longwood, Florida for January 1 - 31, 2008.  As of today there are 567 homes on the market...  497 homes sold in Longwood in the past 12 months.  Longwood has a 14 month supply of houses on the market.

There are currently 49 homes that are under contract, which is a projected increase in sales over the 32 that were sold in January.  Please check back after March 10th for the February sales results.

Looking for a great new pizza place?  You have to try American Pie Pizza Company, I have heard a good buzz about the restaurant and figured we would give it a shot.  The restaurant is alive... streaming music videos on televisions and wireless Playstations in all of the booths (great restaurant for kids too)... 

The service was great!  Our waiter was courteous and timely with fresh drinks and plenty of napkins...  The wings and pizza were both very good... hot out of the oven.  They have an extensive menu and best of all they deliver...  within a 5 mile radius which means they go all the way to our house in Lake Mary...  They are now at the top of my delivery list. 

If you haven't tried American Pie...  give them a try.  They have locations in Altamonte Springs, Orlando (Airport), Clermont, College Park, Hunters Creek, Winter Garden, Oviedo, Palm Bay, Pinellas Park and Ocoee-Windermere.

There are currently 365 homes that are under contract, which is a substantial increase over the 187 that were sold in January.  We will be watching the number of homes that go under contract very closely to indicate any changes in the market.
